Let’s Colour and SOS Children’s Villages Poland joined forces in an exciting and life-changing renovation of the „Jutrzenka” day care center in Lublin. Thanks to the enthusiasm and passion of everyone involved, we have tailored an unforgettable story about the transformation.

Helping young people position themselves on a job market

With the common goal of reaching young people to increase their chances of becoming independent adults, who take responsibility for themselves and the communities around them, we shared our knowledge and expertise.

By organizing multiple training sessions that covered various subjects, our volunteers aimed to share as much knowledge as possible to the young people in Lublin and their caregivers. To help them stand out in the market, we offered them various workshops, so they had the opportunity to learn a plethora of new skills. Both young people and caregivers could develop their sales skills, learn how to paint walls or cars, and improve their self-presentation skills along with CV writing.

However, every lesson we shared would be pointless, if there were no passion and hunger for knowledge in the eyes of those young people. Luckily, their energy, insights, and transformation were incredible, so we are convinced that the future ahead of them is bright and full of opportunities.

Bringing color through teamwork

After the learning sessions were finished, it was time to put the knowledge gained into practice. The renovation of SOS Children’s Village in Lublin was all about teamwork, harmony, and joy. Together with the young people from the center and their parents, about 40 employee volunteers painted the kitchen, the communal space, corridors, entrance, gym, as well as murals outside of the “Jutrzenka” day care center. However, nothing would be as beautiful and colorful as it is today, without the love each one of us had put into it.

A circle of transformation

Each Let’s Colour project tells a story of its own. It teaches us something new, it reminds us how important it is to support those in need. Therefore, by the end of each project, nothing remains the same as it was. That is because the end of each project is actually the starting point for a more hopeful and colorful future for all involved. And that is exactly what happened in Lublin – together we have made a whole new beginning!
