SOS Children’s Villages partnership
Helping to transform lives is at the heart of Let’s Colour, so we have partnered with SOS Children's Villages to use education and renovation to drive a positive impact on the issue of youth unemployment. We offer the young people training and practical experience through our painter academies, as well as developing other professional and personal skills by offering soft skills training, entrepreneurship programs, mentoring and traineeships. The training supports the participants so that, in the long term, they will be able to find decent, stable employment and make a positive change in their lives.
The young people also have a chance to give back to the program; collaborating with AkzoNobel volunteers, they renovate and improve the living spaces of other SOS Children’s Villages program participants. So far more than 12,400 young people in 25 countries have participated in training programs, involving over 1,450 employees and we look forward to changing more lives for the better as the partnership is expanding to more countries.
Education and Renovation across the world
The partnership kicked off with four countries in 2016 (Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa & Indonesia) and aims to reach young people of SOS Children’s Villages with our painter academies around the world.
As a member of the global YouthCan! program, our partnership now covers 25 countries. By offering education and renewal of living spaces, we are giving hope to young people at risk and children without parental care.
Together with SOS Children's Villages
SOS Children’s Villages is an international non-governmental and non-denominational organization that takes care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it, and is dedicated to help ensure that children become independent adults.
