Tudo de cor para Porto Alegre supported the project ‘Humanizarte na Penitenciária Estadual de Charqueadas’ (Humanize the State Penetenary of Charqueadas) in partnership with the Núcleo Urbanóide, whose goal is to restore and humanize the areas of the prison where visitors and inmates walk about.

For this painting campaign, Coral Paints partnered with the artist Lucas “Anão,” who has worked in Núcleo Unbanóide since 2009 and has completed other art works with Tudo de cor para você.  For this project, the interior and exterior walls were painted in which we highlighted the following colors: Purple Palace, Wild Fruit, Franciscan Grape, and French Sea Scroll. The works of art created represent wildlife and family.

According to psychologist Sonia Modena, the project´s goal is to humanize prison spaces in visiting areas, where women and children visit. “Through art, these walls that are generally somber can turn into a welcoming environment. We’ve heard testimony from children who were visiting their parents here and they said that the colors gave life to the space. Some children even offered to help paint and provided a more beautiful environment so that their families feel good to visit here,” he explains.
