The Let’s Colour project added colour to the 8,000 masonry anchors that line the Lian-Da Road, changing the dull grey roadside to a colourful passage.

To make their journey to university more colorful three students decided they would give the Lian-Da Road, which links two areas of Miaoli and belongs to the National United University, a makeover.

The project was run by professor Wang and his students, who both felt inspired by the Let’s Colour project to give the road a facelift, however neither party could agree on a colour scheme. The students stood firm and convinced the professor to compromise, in the end colour isn’t about right and wrong, it is about inspiration.

Everyone was surprised by the outcome and road users couldn’t believe the difference. “It looks very fancy and fits in with the environment.” said by Professor Wang. The initial project saw colour added to 960 anchors but the Let’s Colour team hope that more will follow “We’ve decided to continue the make over until colour has been added to all of the anchors.”
