Adding colour to the lives of the underprivileged

Adding color to the lives of the underprivileged is a one of the AkzoNobel and Dulux donation and volunteer programs. Our employees worked to produce the paint for exterior and interior and volunteers helped by repainting the building.

The foster home in Maharashtra is a place housing boys and youths from age 7  to 18. The building badly needed a refreshment and it had a very dull deserted look. The repainting action made it more alive and vibrant, so now it is a happy place to stay in.

Lots of waste paint was lying in the sample storage area of R&D. When this requirement came up, the employees took it upon themselves to generate the paint for both exterior and interior. A day was selected and all employees decided to adhere to the “War on Waste” campaign and clubbed this theme to generate a whopping 700 liters of waste paint. This was then segregated into exterior and interior colors and shipped off to the ashram for painting.
