Let’s Colour transforms lives in Latin America

Through a coordinated effort of our three paint brands, Tintas Coral, Alba, and Inca, approximately 900 people and children benefited. By donating furniture to educational institutions, daycare centers, and hospitals with care for children we have added color to the lives of people from the local community. This large scale Let’s Colour initiative showcased the importance of unity, as well as the incredible impact the paint can have.

Through a coordinated effort of our three paint brands, Tintas Coral, Alba, and Inca, approximately 900 people and children benefited. By donating furniture to educational institutions, daycare centers, and hospitals with care for children, we have added color to the lives of people from the local community. This large scale Let’s Colour initiative showcased the importance of unity, as well as the incredible impact the paint can have.

The ultimate collaboration

Our paint brands Tintas Coral, Alba, and Inca mobilized more than 750 volunteer employees from three countries in South America. They were invited to paint furniture that was next donated to various institutions in the region. The goal was to touch as many lives as possible through paint and help those in need.

Excited to make the most out of this mega task, our employees worked passionately and joyfully. The infectious optimism of everyone involved made the entire initiative more rewarding and valuable.

Colorful and sustainable future

In Brazil, 400 people worked together to add a fresh coat of paint to more than 110 tables and chairs, among other furniture. After the painting process was done, the colorful furniture was donated to the Casas André Luiz institution, a nonprofit organization that cares for about 1,700 people, both children and adults, with intellectual disabilities.

In Argentina, 300 employees from the Alba team, helped to add color to one kindergarten in the city of Matheu. To make the everyday life of 40 children more joyful, they gave a new look to about 100 tables and chairs.

And in Uruguay, more than 20 colorful wooden benches with fresh patterns were donated to the first sustainable primary school in Latin America. A colorful donation to this rural school in Jaureguiberry was a result of a dedicated work of 50 employees of the Inca team.

Bringing energy and joy to people

This grand-scale Let’s Colour initiative had a goal to spread the positive power of paint beyond expected. Through the mutual effort of our three paint brands, we were able to touch even more lives and uplift people in various local communities.

“Adding color to people’s lives, wherever it is, is part of our purpose. We are proud to be able to bring energy and joy to people through painting, coordinating efforts in three countries. It is not by chance that we export our ‘Tudo de Cor’ movement to our sites outside Brazil. And our employees are always engaged and ready to help”, comments Elaine Poço, director of Sustainability and RD&I for the Decorative Paints AkzoNobel for Latin America.
