The Sanctuary Church ‘Igreja Nossa Senhora de Caravaggio’ in Farroupilha was selected for the revitalisation project because it is a sanctuary that attracts more than 1.8 million followers and tourists to the city every year.

About 4,000 litres of paint were used to renovate the facade of the Church, one of Farroupilha’s postcard landmarks and a religious reference of the Serra Gaúcha. The paint colours were chosen by its own community and visitors of the region by an online vote at the site www.procortintas.com.br.  The campaign had 32,331 votes and the colours selected by 12,648 votes were: Marrom Indiano, Orégano do Campo, Sopro de Neve, Carmim Aveludado and Dourado Antigo.

One volunteer said: “We are extremely happy with the recognition that Tudo de cor para você has brought us and very proud to be able to contribute to the preservation of the very important historic and religious heritage for gaúchos and the followers in all of Brazil.”
