In August 2011 the Let’s Colour project held an online competition for clubs and unions to win a colourful makeover for their clubhouse.

The four finalists were Crusaders, Splotsz, De Zoetermeerse Reddings Brigade, Sotoko Kitahara and each were awarded with €1,000 to spend on paint. The job of choosing a winner fell on the shoulders of radio presenter Ruud the Wild, who made his decision based on which clubhouse was in the biggest need of a total makeover.

The winning clubhouse was De Zoetermeerse Reddings Brigade, and courtesy of the Let’s Colour project the club was given a complete makeover. Ruud de Wild arrived by helicopter with his team, painters and tins of colourful paint to bring the clubhouse back to life.

The result was a new bright and colourful clubhouse that everyone at the club is very proud of.
