The building which was painted is used for many activities like theatre, working place, restaurant, disco, etc. It is the heart of Pluryn in Oosterbeek and was in desperate need of a transformation.

A wonderful blend of colors and optimism

The renovation of Jan Pieter Heije center, an ortho-pedagogical center, has been executed with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement by the Flexa Let’s Colour team and the staff and youngsters of the Pluryn foundation. The Pluryn foundation offers help for people with intellectual disabilities and behavioral problems in the field of living, working, learning, and leisure.

They support people to increase their chances for a fulfilling life in society. It’s a national organization with more than 400 locations. It employs 7,400 professionals and 1,000 volunteers. Youth and adults visit Pluryn for treatment and support: both at home and in the facilities for the disabled, child welfare, and mental health care.

Stars for the final touch – creating the mood in the center

Flexa selected the paint colors with care and style. In the restaurant, for example, an army green (Flexa Camouflage Green) was applied on the walls.

In the disco area a very dark Blue (Flexa Royal Blue) and in the theatre a combination of this same dark blue, a jeans blue (Flexa Denim Drift) and a very soft greyish green (Flexa Early Dew) that made the room sparkle again.

The stars, painted by the young people of Pluryn, were the finishing touch to the space.

Celebrating the new beginning

After the transformation, everyone was more than thrilled about the result. The combination of color schemes and paint evoked joyful reactions of everyone included in this project.

“Such a big difference in a short time!” That was the phrase Pluryn employees used when they saw how beautiful the center looks like after the renovation.
