GK communities and volunteering AN employees transform the life of poor families in a flooded area

A village of 36 housing units in a new area for poor families that were resided in flood prone area were transformed.

GK (Gerakan Kepedulian) Communities, volunteering AN employees and other partners (e.g. Jakarta International School, Adaro, Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Standard Charterd) joined together to help paint the newly built integrated, holistic and sustainable communities in slum areas. Through “Let’s Colour” spirit and the internal motto of AN Deco Indonesia “Kita Bisa” (We Can), we added colour to the lives of people who are less fortunate and helped to bring their spirit back.

When handing over the paint to the GK Community, we mentioned providing better colourful living spaces for the community and hoped to improve their life and optimism after the flood. We also provided free Dulux Painter Academy classes to provide them the opportunity to work as painters as part of the Painters for Life Program.
