Elafonisos is a tiny island with limited resources and its only school was in desperate need of renovation. Vivechrom volunteers moved to Elafonisos for the weekend to assist the locals in painting the school’s classrooms.

Teachers and parents also helped to improve and beautify the classrooms of the school. Minor repairs had to be made before painting as the building was in such bad condition however everyone felt that the hard work was worth it!

By painting the classrooms’ interiors with pretty, nicely balanced and calming colours the volunteers managed to create a brighter, friendlier environment where learning is not a chore, but a joy. This is sure to be an inspiration and positive force in the lives of the students of the school, who struggle with the disadvantages of education in an underdeveloped area.
