In its 33 years since it was founded, SAHK Ko Fook Iu Memorial School has been offering quality education to students with multiple disabilities. However, it has been 12 years since the campus was last renovated, and paint peeling off the walls brings inconvenience to the students and teachers.

In this year’s Let’s Colour Week, our Dulux Hong Kong staff left the office and went to SAHK Ko Fook Iu Memorial School to help with the second phase of renovation. Our staff members painted the otherwise dull-looking Activity Room and corridor with vibrant colours, and lived up to the slogan ‘Adding Colours to People’s Lives’.

On the day of the activity, the school’s staff dropped whatever they were doing and assembled in six teams to paint different parts of the school. On the daily job, the staff members have ample opportunities with paint, but that day was the first time they all painted together – some of them were even painting for their very first time! In one day, we witnessed how a bland white campus was transformed into a colourful one, as if it went through a colour tunnel. All our staff members were simply amazed by our own ‘art pieces’!

The sense of satisfaction was immense! We wish that more organisations will join our Let’s Colour campaign and harness the power of colors for a better community!
